Rochester, NY – The 32nd Annual Oktoberfest ended last Saturday at Camp Eastman but the organizers are already getting ahead of advertising for next year’s festival! According to a press release, the Irondequoit Oktoberfest will be partnering with AncestryDNA for “Pure Bloodline Discounts” on food and beer.

The price of the ticket will cover the cost of your rapid DNA test at the door and if you’re 90% or more German you will receive a fast pass to cut the beer lines and get all-you-can-eat schnitzel.

The organizers say “we were trying to come up with an answer for people saying we’re straying too far from German traditions. We came up with some ideas but this was our final solution.”

When asked if these tests will prevent anyone from getting in who is under 90% German the organizer simple winked and yelled “Ziggy, Zaggy, Ziggy, Zaggy, Oi, Oi, Oi!”
